AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is based on the importance of memorizing verses from the Bible, described in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
AWANA clubs are filled with fun, friendships, learning scripture and Biblical principles, games and other great activities. All PCC child-safety protocols are in place during AWANA.
Christian Service Brigade seeks to build up Godly men of today and tomorrow. It’s a multi-year discipleship program designed to give a boy everything he needs to be a man of God. Boys learn real world skills as well as spiritual ones that they can apply throughout their lives.
Weekly meetings involve games, lessons, achievements, and life skills to model and foster biblical manhood.
GEMS is an acronym for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior. Our vision is to see girls around the world actively and enthusiastically expressing love for God and others—girls equipped, motivated, and passionately engaged in living out their faith.
Portage Community Chapel’s GEMS Girls’ Club seeks to build up Godly women of today and tomorrow by providing real answers to the challenges girls face. Girls learn real world skills as well as spiritual ones that they can apply throughout their lives. Weekly meetings involve games, lessons, achievements, and life skills to model and foster biblical womanhood.
